Alessandro Vigilante (Ale) runs Business Development & Strategy for Colt’s Voice business. He is tasked with identifying, assessing and executing inorganic cash uplift opportunities, from disruptive products and innovative commercial offers through to M&A deals. He is a so-called Growth Engineer, with brainstorm-to-cash experience in taking product portfolios and sales channels through digital transformation. Alistair Farndale is Chief Engineer for Colt data centres Northern Region. Alistair is responsible for facilities management, physical security and technical infrastructure across nodes , data centres and LDN sites in the UK, Ireland and the Nordic countries.
Previously Alistair was at Global Switch, where he was employed as their Group Operations Director. He comes from a technical background in power engineering and worked in this field as a consultant for a number of years. Challenge driven and always committed to delivering the best in class, Alistair is focused on both internal and external customer experience with the help of his hard-working team. He has be instrumental in achieving a number of industry accreditations for our Data centres and the Uptime Institute Management & Operations award.
Andreas Kederer is Director of Managed Services for Colt Communication Services.
Following a variety of Product Management roles at AT&T and Level 3, Andy currently heads up the product management for Bandwidth and Access Services within Colt.
Arno is a Chief Engineer for Colt Data Centre Services and is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Colt’s central region data centre and node estate. The central region in Colt comprises Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Austria and translates into more than 30,000m2 of rack rooms and 22,000m2 of office space.
Arno has held various roles at Colt over the last 10 years, many of which were involved in the expansion of Colt’s data centre and node estate. Previously he was a Project Leader at Ebatech Technical Consultants. Arno qualified as an Electrical Engineer from Rotterdam University.
Carol Alexander is Director of Colt’s Franchise Channel and is responsible for recruiting franchisees to offer Colt’s voice, data and managed services to the market, whilst complimenting their own products and services.
Dr. Joachim Sinzig is responsible at Colt for Product Management Voice & Reselling in Europe. His team developes and manages the traditional voice services in the PSTN network as well as the modern VoIP and Unified Communication solutions based on Colt’s NGN network for business and reseller customers. With his 15 years experience in Technology, Sales and Supplier Management and a number of IT and Infrastructure projects, he developes new solutions and strategies to support the business processes of Colt’s customers.
Falk Weinreich is EVP for Colt Communication Services (CCS) and is responsible for the strategic direction and next phase of growth of Colt’s indirect business unit focussed on selling branded and unbranded transactional services. As a key member of Colt’s leadership team, Falk is focussed on delivering exceptional customer service and value.
Francois Eloy is Executive Vice President for CCS and is responsible for making Colt the European supplier of choice for branded and unbranded information delivery solutions through indirect Sales Channels.
Francois is Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for Colt Technology Services. As a member of the brand, communications and marketing team, he is responsible for coordinating the strategy and delivery of Colt’s CSR agenda, encompassing activity driving Colt’s responsibility credentials with the Environment, Customers and Suppliers, Employees and Communities.
Prior to focusing on CSR Francois was Group media relations Manager, before joining as Communications Manager for Colt in France in 2005.
Francois has worked as a communications and marketing manager at Colt and in agency roles for over 10 years.
Gary Moore is Director of Business Development for cloud connectivity. He is responsible for making it easier for customers to consume their favourite cloud services over Colt’s network, and also for ensuring Colt’s network meets the needs of cloud service providers.
Gideon is partner management director at Colt. He leads the team that manages our strategic technology partners to develop customer centric networking, storage and cloud-based solutions.
Guy Ruddock is Vice President – Design & Delivery for Colt’s Data Centre Services, responsible for the development of the Data Centre and Node estate for Colt, which comprises over 350 sites and 20 data centres throughout Europe. Guy conceived the Colt Modular Data Centre three years ago which is now acknowledged as the market leader in its field.
He has over 30 years’ experience within various technology based industries ranging from Oil and Petrochemicals to Financial Services and Telecommunications, and has been responsible for sourcing, building and operating data centres and key technical infrastructure since 1984.
Vice President – Design, Delivery and Operations for Colt’s Data Centre Services, responsible for the development and operations of the Data Centre and Node estate for Colt, which comprises over 350 sites and 20 data centres throughout Europe. Guy conceived the Colt Modular Data Centre three years ago which is now acknowledged as the market leader in its field.
Hugh is a specialist in STP, automation/efficiency and outsourcing, in post-trade, clearing/settlement and treasury/payments. Before joining Colt in 2011, he worked both inside Financial Services for banks and brokers and for service providers to the sector.
Hugo is the Vice President, Portfolio & Strategy in Colt Enterprise Services and has responsibility for the development and execution of the growth strategy for CES, and for the evolution of our portfolio of products and services.
Hugo joined Colt in July 2012 from Star Technology Services where he was Director of Product & Market Solutions. A seasoned ICT professional, Harber led Star’s cloud strategy and was responsible for delivering its portfolio of services, working with its customers to develop solutions and services to solve today’s business challenges. Prior to taking up this role, he was responsible for spearheading their entry into voice services and latterly their unified communications solution delivered entirely from the cloud.
Before joining Star, Hugo spent ten years running engineering and technology businesses - the last five of which he ran a successful Telecoms Consultancy. He also launched and ran Switch2 for Littlewoods Shop Direct Group, the fastest growing telecoms business of 2005.
Hugo studied Oceanography & Marine Technology, lives in Hampshire, is married with two children and enjoys cycling and sailing.
Ian is Vice President Operations of Colt Data Centre Services and is responsible for managing the
operations of the Data Centre and Node estate for Colt Telecommunications. He has over 25 years
experience in the data centre and telecommunications industry and has been engaged in delivering data
centre services to customers since 1997.
Ian has held various senior roles at Colt over the last 10 years, including heading up the technical design
team that developed Colt’s Modular Datacentre offering and for managing UK sales for data centres and
managed services. Previously he was Product Director at City Reach International, a data centre start up.
Prior to this he managed application and web hosting line of business at BT responsible for bringing their
first data centre hosting offerings to market.
Jay is the Commercial Director at Marketprizm, responsible for Colt’s capital markets offering. Prior to Colt, Jay worked for Radianz from its foundation as a joint venture start-up. He has spent the majority of his career designing and selling optimised infrastructure services for the financial sector.
Jimmy Ehrbar is a Senior Architect within the Strategy & Architecture team. Jimmy has been with Colt for over 13 years starting as a network engineer. His focus areas include voice, VoIP and unified communications architectures. Before moving into this role he was involved in the deployment of the next generation VoIP platform and the development of Colt’s SIP trunking solutions.
Ken Wood is Colt’s media sector lead. He works with our broadcast, publishing and advertising customers helping them to move, manage and manipulate content using Colt’s managed services portfolio. Ken previously created and ran his own digital media business.
Kristopher is the VoIP access product manager at Colt. He has over 10 years’ Voice and Unified Communications experience. He has had engineering and commercial responsibility for launching Europe’s first consumer VoIP service provider and the world’s first mobile VoIP operator. He is a well-known and a respected figure within the IPT and UC Industry, and an advocate of open standard communication protocols and applications.
Luke Broome is Colt’s Chief Technology Officer, responsible for end-to-end target architecture, strategy and investment. His focus areas include technology thought leadership, technology partner evaluation and selection, as well as innovation and prototyping.
Matthew is responsible for plotting the strategic direction of Colt’s Data Centre Business through development of its service offer and its channel to market. Matthew has 30 years of experience in the data centre and telecommunications industry and has previously held senior roles including those as Vice President of Application Hosting at Equant (now Orange Business Services) and as a director of Telecity.

Nicolas Fischbach is Director Strategy, Architecture and Innovation. Nicolas has been with Colt for over 14 years starting out as an IP engineer. Before moving into this role he was in charge of Security Engineering and Operations. Nicolas holds an Engineer degree in Networking and Distributed Computing and is a recognised authority on Service Provider security as well as on next-generation architectures.
Paul Sinclair is an experienced European business manager with a proven track record of delivering spectacular commercial results for UK and European carriers, including Cable & Wireless, 360 Network, Fibernet and Virgin Media. Paul is focused on proactive expansion of Colt super connected buildings. These allow customers to perform better by removing the complexity around delivering and integrating IT, network and data centre services in support of business growth.
Peter Coppens is the Solution Line Director for networking services. He is responsible for defining, developing and successfully launching networking services for Colt's enterprise customers. Peter has 15 years' experience in product management, go to market planning and team management.
Ralph Achkar is Colt’s Capital Markets Product Director. He is responsible for the global product portfolio and its expansion across services and geographies. A regular commentator on the Asia and FX markets, Ralph joined Colt when low latency market data specialist MarketPrizm was acquired in 2011. Previously Ralph worked at Turquoise as co-head of sales and Citigroup as a VP in Markets and Securities Services where he spent five years covering financial institutions and infrastructures, with assignments in Frankfurt and Moscow.
Robin Brown is Director, DCS Portfolio at Colt Technology Services. Robin brings over 17 years direct experience in the TMT sector to Colt. Working in Hong Kong before moving to the UK, he has held a number positions in sales, marketing and on executive boards for the likes of Cable & Wireless, Verizon and Adapt.
Robin Saphra, General Counsel, Colt. Robin leads the Legal and Regulatory teams who provide support, guidance and advice to all of Colt's Business Units. He is also accountable for compliance across the group and for developing the regulatory dimension of our corporate strategy. Prior to joining Colt in September 2005, Robin had worked internationally in Africa, Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean and North America. He began his career in media, working for the BBC after emigrating to the UK from South Africa. In 1992 he qualified as a lawyer, joining a specialist telecoms law firm. In 1997, he joined One2One, then a start-up UK mobile operator running the word's first GSM 1800 network and subsequently served as Executive Director for Strategic Development at T-Mobile International until shortly before joining Colt.
Scott Holmes is Sales Director, Value Added Resellers for Colt. For 10 years Scott has been helping companies of all sizes to become more agile and competitive through the use of virtualisation and cloud technologies. Most recently, as part of the leadership team at ThinkGrid Scott helped build and launch the worlds most advanced cloud services platform for SMB organisations. Following the acquisition of ThinkGrid by Colt Technology Services in August 2012, Scott now leads the ‘Colt Ceano’ function across Northern Europe; giving SME organisations a powerful suite of IT services delivered in a simple, automated way.
Stefano is a senior strategy, product and marketing professional with an engineering background, an Executive MBA focussed on strategy and entrepreneurship, as well as experience in strategic marketing and portfolio management gained in global blue-chip companies. Stuart Brameld works in the Innovation & Prototyping team at Colt, bringing adjacent, disruptive and non-organic innovation into the product roadmap. He has 10 years’ experience in Cybersecurity, most recently as Technical Director for a large independent network security specialist in the UK. Stuart has a Masters in Information Technology, and won a scholarship to pursue an MBA from Imperial College London. As an entrepreneur Stuart is interested in applying start-up business methodologies to established businesses in order to quickly test market and customer demand, and dramatically accelerate the concept to market process. Victor Smith, Director, Product Development for Colt Data Centre Services. Victor joined the team on 28th May. In his new role, Victor is key in cementing Colt's data centre product and service strategy as we look to innovate and extend our reach. Victor works very closely with the design team as well as with the marketing to ensure our future roadmap takes into account not only market requirements and further engineering innovations, but also continues to be optimally positioned in the market.
