Buddy Bayer
Chief Operating Officer
Ron “Buddy” Bayer is chief operating officer for Colt. Bayer is responsible for leading Colt’s global operations and engineering functions. Buddy will be responsible for further developing Colt’s infrastructure and network strategy, while continuing to drive an exceptional customer experience.
Buddy is an executive leader with broad experience in creating and leading highly effective and efficient organisations. His successful career path to date has provided the opportunity for him to set the vision, lead and develop multiple facets of engineering, operations, sales and more importantly the development of people. Buddy is recognised as an impactful leader with high character values, creative insight, and a passion for maximising the performance of the team.
Prior to joining Colt, Buddy was at Windstream where he was, most recently, President for Enterprise & Wholesale. Buddy has held several senior roles in Windstream, Century Link, Qwest and OnFiber and has a wealth of experience in engineering, operations, sales and product, as well as in driving innovative network solutions.
Buddy holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He holds an advisory board position on the Oklahoma State University’s Zink Center for Innovation
