John Avery
Non-Executive Director
John Avery is the President of Crosby Advisors and the senior investment leader of The Crosby Company of New Hampshire, Beacon Trust Company, and Fidelity Foundations. He has a wealth of investment experience, and most recently served as head of Advanced Data Analytics in the Asset Management division at Fidelity, where he led artificial intelligence and big data initiatives across the company. John grew the Advanced Data & Analytics team to be an integral resource to Fidelity’s investment processes, partnering with the research and PM teams across asset classes.
Before starting the AI Team, John was an Equity Portfolio manager from 1997-2017 where he ran a multitude of Equity and Balanced Funds. He was a domestic Equity Analyst from 1994-1997.
Prior to joining Fidelity, John was a domestic equity analyst at Putnam Investments and an investment banking associate at Alex Brown & Sons. He has been in the financial industry since 1986.
John has his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and his Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
