Colt goes East

Colt, a leading provider of business communications and IT managed services, has extended its network reach into Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to address growing customer demand for network connectivity in the region’s financial, business and manufacturing centres. Customers can now benefit from the same Colt-grade Ethernet and IP VPN services across the CEE region as they do in Western Europe and Colt-connected cities in the USA.

Colt can now deliver feature-rich communications services to Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Bucharest and Bratislava via newly built PoPs in each city centre, which are fully managed by Colt. All services are backed up by stringent end-to-end Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Colt provides customers with a new online performance portal which they can use to monitor all of their services to CEE.

Luke Broome, Chief Technology Officer at Colt said, “The global business environment is constantly evolving and our customers are adapting their business structures to take into account new markets and opportunities. Many of our customers are setting up or taking over operations in the CEE region and need to integrate these sites into their global network with the same performance guarantees they are used to. This latest development is part of our ongoing investment in the Colt infrastructure to meet changing customer requirements.”

Colt will deliver services to the CEE region using its next generation Carrier Ethernet platform (Multi Service Platform), which was rolled out across the rest of the Colt network in 2009.
