Join us on Thursday 22 October from 4.00pm - 5.00pm (BST) for our free event 'Personal brand in a digital world'
The event will be hosted by Paula Cogan, Colt's EVP Sales, Marketing & Customer Relationship Management and founder of Colt's women's network (Network 25). She'll be joined by Samrah Akhtar (Business Partner Marketing Executive and founder of YOUnited at Colt) to interview Holly Osborne, VP, Global Brand & Campaigns at Ciena.
In a relaxed interview setting, we’ll talk about why personal brand is important in a post-COVID digital world, how our virtual selves are the same / different to our face to face selves, how women can benefit / be challenged by gender and identity in a tech environment, and whether women and non-binary people should aim to fit in or stand out.

VP, Global Brand & Campaigns at Ciena
With a 20-year focus on business transformation through brand, Holly Osborne brings deep brand-strategy expertise and leadership to Ciena. As VP of Global Brand and Marketing Programs, Holly steers the vision for Ciena’s brand and drives the marketing programs that bring it to life.
While previously leading strategy for Google’s BrandLab, and running teams for Landor’s San Francisco and London offices, Holly spearheaded complex brand-overhaul engagements for the likes of Adidas, Bain & Co, Barclays, Chevron, Disney, Mattel, Microsoft, T-Mobile, and Unilever.
Business Partner Marketing Executive, Colt
Samrah has recently completed the graduate scheme at Colt and is now a Business Partner Marketing Executive within the CMO function. As the founder and chair of the YOUnited network at Colt, she is a strong voice and advocate for cultural and diversity awareness, with a particular focus on the BAME community.
In her spare time, she writes and speaks on Muslim and ethnic minority platforms from all things taboo in culture, society, and the identity crisis’ faced by living in the West, including discussions on BBC Asian Network.
