Market data, news and analysis for cryptocurrencies and other digital assets

The founders of data and research company Brave New Coin, a Colt PrizmNet provider, have been active in cryptocurrencies and other digital assets for a number of years. Recognising that investors need the same information about digital assets as they do about any other asset class, they set up Brave New Coin to provide capital markets participants with market data, spot pricing, indices, technical analysis, risk management, industry news and commentary.

Brave New Coin considers itself unique in terms of the combination of markets and assets it covers. Assets tracked number more than 150 and include cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and Ripple, and digital assets such as Ethereum. The company aims to start tracking new digital assets and currencies as soon as they’re launched, in order to maintain a full history of each one. Other services offered by Brave New Coin include provision of financial data oracles to run on blockchain-based smart contracts.

As Bitcoin, the most actively traded cryptocurrency, attracts increasing institutional investment, Brave New Coin meets the need for clear benchmarks and global reference pricing with its flagship Bitcoin Liquid Index. To make it as easy as possible for clients to access the index and other services, Brave New Coin offers multiple connectivity options and channels to market, including APIs, distribution via resellers, and now Colt PrizmNet. Accessibility via the Colt financial extranet helps the company extend its reach and increase choice for clients in all regions about how they access its services.

“Becoming a Colt PrizmNet provider helps enhance our footprint and meet the connectivity preference of clients who prefer to access our services via a secure extranet. We were struck by Colt’s informed interest in the services we offer the global capital markets ecosystem, and their keen focus on what they can bring to the relationship with Brave New Coin. We expect that relationship to deepen as the market becomes increasingly engaged with cryptocurrencies and digital assets.” — Rory Manchee, Head of Business Development, Brave New Coin
