Customers using Colt Ethernet can be assured that the service meets MEF’s rigorous requirements

London, UK, 26 May, 2022Colt Technology Services has today announced that it has achieved full MEF 3.0 Certification for its Global Carrier Ethernet Services. This demonstrates that Colt’s ethernet services conform to the rigorous specifications established by the industry’s defining authority for standardised layer-2 services. It also validates performance excellence and confirms Colt’s standards-compliant presence within a global federation of automated networks.

Certification was achieved for all of Colt’s ethernet services – Ethernet Line, Ethernet Hub and Spoke, and Ethernet VPN – which are based on its advanced, SDN enabled IQ Network platform. This high bandwidth packet infrastructure enables Colt to rapidly deliver high-performance connectivity for cloud scale, business critical applications to its enterprise, carrier and web-centric customers worldwide.

Colt’s market-leading SD WAN solution combines the scale and reach of the Colt IQ Network with an expansive set of features that align with customers’ evolving network landscape and consumers can have confidence that they meet the industry’s highest standards created by MEF.

Peter Coppens, Colt’s VP, Product Portfolio, said: “This certification shows that the design, quality and performance of our carrier ethernet services are consistent globally, and conform to the very highest and most up-do-date industry standards. Colt is now even better positioned to help its enterprise and carrier customers around the world grow their business, expand into new markets and undertake digital transformation. We continue to invest in our extensive network and improve our services, so we can better serve our customers – including software defined consumption models via portal and API.”
