Colt is a hit at ITW

Colt was proud to attend ITW in Chicago last month. ITW is without doubt the largest meeting place for the global wholesale telecommunications community.  Now in its 9th year, the event goes from strength to strength with attendance rumored to be the largest ever.  With so many people, there was a consistent buzz throughout the event.  Whether you were on the show floor, walking through the event hotel or riding the elevators –  it was packed.

The event attracted participants from all areas of the industry including: carriers, mobile/wireless operators, ISPs, VoIP providers, OTTs and technology partners from the voice, data, satellite, subsea and fixed-line markets.  And discussions ranged from the disruptive impact of SDN to the inexorable move to higher speed networking and the ongoing transition from TDM to Global SIP and VoIP.

Overall, it was a great event for Colt and our presence at the conference was both evident and well received.  From the multitude of senior level meetings, to the very popular cocktail reception we hosted, down to the Colt booth on the show floor – Colt was there to see and be seen.

Booth 1020 on the exhibitor floor at the Hyatt was a very popular spot during the show.  Colt people were busy actively engaging with prospects, customers and partners on a variety of international voice and data needs.

We did benefit from a captivating presentation on a continuous loop that pulled people in for more detailed conversations.   We also had a giveaway for those who came through the Colt booth…Colt Frisbees! (Anyone interested in a Frisbee – please contact your Colt account manager…)

When the sales and marketing teams weren’t meeting customers and prospects in the booth they were having face to face customer meetings in one of our three meeting suites.  The sales teams managed to schedule over 50 meetings per day over the course of the conference.  We hope all those we spoke to found the conversations as useful and enlightening as we did.

We also  hosted a very well-attended cocktail reception on Tuesday night of the conference in the Radisson Blue Aqua hotel.  Guests enjoyed excellent food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere while continuing to network and build business.  Colt had over 300 guests register for the event and we had another 100 walk-ins on top of that – always the sign of a good party. So thanks again to all who attended and here’s to next year…
