Gartner recently released its first Magic Quadrant for European Managed Hosting. We’re delighted to report that Colt received the highest axis position for ability to execute, positioning us as leader in this area.
In a Colt press release, Richard Oosterom, Colt’s EVP for Group Strategy & Business Development said that “We are delighted with Colt’s positioning in the first Magic Quadrant for European Managed Hosting… Our breadth of portfolio, focus on customer service and pan-European network are all key to our ability to successfully deliver IT services across Europe today.”
It’s worth remarking on Richard Oosterom’s words because each of the benefits he lists reflect real business challenges that affect not only enterprises, but also small and medium sized businesses. For example, if you’re going to entrust your IT to an externally managed resource then customer service will be something that you’re looking for. In order for your IT to be effective, problems need to be dealt with competently and quickly, which is why Colt has invested in its customer service capability. Similarly, we know that even small businesses may have multiple locations across different countries. Having a reliable and purpose built network across Europe means that businesses can stay connected and have access to applications no matter where they might be working. It will be this sort of flexibility that will give SMEs a competitive edge.
At Colt we’re proud not only to be delivering these services for enterprise but businesses of all sizes. We understand that SME owners won’t have time to read long analyst reports or pay too much attention to the theories behind IT implementation. However, we do think it’s important to show that Colt has been recognised in these areas for taking-on issues that challenge every business.
