Colt has picked up two awards at the Network Transformation Awards, which took place in The Hague last night as part of SDN NFV World Congress 2018.
Colt won two trophies in 2017 and repeated its success in 2018, with Colt On Demand winning the ‘Best NaaS (Network as a service) Platform’ award, and the Dedicated Cloud Access service recognised in the ‘Best New Cloud-Optical Solutions’ category.
The awards celebrate and honour the industry’s achievements in accelerating network transformation through collaboration and partnering, with Colt recognised for its investment into its market-leading services and network, which now connect over 27,000 enterprise buildings and over 850 data centres.
Colt On Demand leverages software defined networking (SDN) to provide a real time network experience between data centres, enterprise buildings and cloud service providers. Powered by the Colt IQ Network, it allows customers to manage their network connectivity services via a dedicated portal or API, and to make configuration changes such as a bandwidth upgrade instantly. Colt’s Dedicated Cloud Access (DCA) service – cloud connectivity services give businesses a superior public cloud networking experience when compared to relying on public internet.
The awards were presented at the SDN NFV World Congress, one of the largest events for carrier network transformation industry leaders with more than 2000 executives, decision makers, and activists. They are judged independently by a panel of leading analysts invited from SDN NFV Congress Analyst Partners. All submissions are assessed against published criteria and graded using a weighted points system to ensure consistency, depth of analysis and rigour. A random matrix process is used to ensure a credible, fair and unbiased assessment of all submissions.
