London, May 31, 2012

Colt, Europe’s leading information delivery platform, today announced that it is extending its ultra low latency services by optimising its routes from London to Zurich, allowing firms to execute trading strategies faster.

The individual routes between London, Frankfurt, Zurich and Milan will also be optimised as part of this project maximising the performance between exchanges and demonstrating Colt’s continuous investment in its network for high frequency traders. This development will come as a welcome boost to trading firms across Europe, providing them with another technological step up in the continuous search for the fastest access to liquidity.

Marcel Sutter, director, Colt, said: “Colt’s continuous investment in reliable ultra low latency infrastructure across key trading routes in Europe means that our clients can trade on multiple exchanges faster, effectively bringing the exchanges closer together by addressing the demands of high frequency trading.“Sutter continues: “When it comes to succeeding in market making, low latency technology services is what drives the speed advantage for traders. This new, significantly improved route guarantees constant and predictable low latency which will help market participants in Switzerland quickly exploit new opportunities as they emerge and support trading strategies which leverage multiple asset classes.“

This development was preceded by Colt’s recent low latency route upgrades from London to Frankfurt, London to Dublin and Paris to Brussels.

The London to Zurich and Frankfurt to Zurich routes will go live on June 30th 2012.
