Colt wins at the Network Transformation Awards

HomeBlogsColt wins at the Network Transformation Awards

Last week, Colt walked away from the Network Transformation Awards Gala Dinner with both awards it was nominated for; Operator Award – SD WAN Service Excellence and in collaboration with AT&T, Innovation— New Service Innovation.

The judges noted of Colt’s wins that is was recognised as an early adopter and an innovator of SDN and NFV technologies, and jointly with AT&T as a leader and innovator of the MEF industry standards.

The awards evening, held at the Grand Hotel Amrath Kurhaus in The Hague, celebrated the industry’s achievements in accelerating the transformation of networks – which are no longer simply static infrastructure rather enablers for widespread innovation. We are all thrilled that the Judges recognised Colt as a leader in the field for our SD WAN offering and the market-leading implementation of MEF’s Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) Sonata APIs in collaboration with AT&T.

Colt has continuously showcased excellence with its SD WAN service and recently enhanced it further with the launch of its Universal Customer Premises Equipment (uCPE) offering. By bringing the benefits of cloud computing from data centres to the edge, uCPE further puts the network in the hands of the customer, giving them the flexibility to license, manage and monitor functions with the choice of network options.

A major theme of the evening was partnership and collaboration. As customer-facing propositions develop at an increasing pace, Colt understands the importance of cooperation for the benefit of the industry and end customers alike.

One key example of this is Colt’s innovative collaboration with AT&T that was recognised by our second win of the evening, for New Service Innovation. This year, Colt and AT&T completed the first successful application of MEF’s LSO Sonata APIs, meaning that AT&T can now place automated orders for Colt’s Ethernet Services. This integration enables AT&T to validate site addresses, check service availability, get a quote, and place automated orders on Colt’s network virtually seamlessly.

This initial success is just the beginning for Colt and its providers and customers. Both AT&T and Colt aim to on-board additional carriers and drive further adoption across the industry through 2020.

Colt is proud to have been recognised as a leading force in the industry as it continues to work more innovatively and collaboratively for its customers. The Network Transformation Awards evening was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and inspire great work across the industry. We’re excited to see what can be achieved in the year ahead, as we continue on this trajectory of providing our providers and customers with innovative and practical capabilities to enable their on-going digital transformations.
