Colt wins two awards at the 14th Global Carrier Awards

Last night Colt emerged as one of the winners at the 14th Global Carrier Awards, taking away two awards; Best Marketing Team and Best Voice Service Innovation – Mature Market.

The judges noted that the Colt marketing team and its products and services matches the quality of Colt’s IQ Network.

The awards ceremony was held at the Troxy Theatre in London with Ben Saunders, one of the world’s leading polar explorers, speaking at the event. The night saw more than 400 people from the telecommunications sector all coming together to celebrate the successes of our industry.

One of the major themes of the evening and of Capacity Europe was innovation, something that is at the forefront of our minds here at Colt.

Whether it be innovation in how we interact with other providers through our trial with PCCW Global that used blockchain to transform inter-carrier settlement, or innovation in the way we approach the Wholesale sector, this year has been one where we have strived to see and do things differently.

The Wholesale space is evolving rapidly and since joining Colt I have been inspired to see that we have been able to be as nimble as the businesses we serve. For us as a Wholesale team we strive to tackle businesses challenges and be an enabler, as opposed to just being a smaller part in the bigger picture.

Our focus is now defined by technology, collaboration and innovation, and winning these awards reinforces that we are on the right trajectory. Therefore, massive congratulations are in order to our Wholesale team who’ve worked hard this year to deliver even more for their customers.

This is just the beginning for us though, with more innovations set to come this year and also it’s a theme that’s set to define 2019 too. Here at Colt we’re not content with doing things as they’ve always been done. We believe that together with our partners and our customers we can better the future of telecoms through the use of innovative technologies as well as via a willingness to embrace a new way of doing things.
