Italian home improvement outlet chooses multiple infrastructure solutions from Colt

Leroy Merlin, Europe’s largest home improvement brand with 370 stores across 12 countries, were keen to have their staff move away from maintaining infrastructure and spend more time dealing with business challenges as well as improving employee and customer interactions.

With a strong need for integration and better optimised IT, they approached Colt for help with their infrastructure and networking services. Server reliability and connectivity are paramount to meeting customer demands and Colt’s managed services, data centres, connectivity and disaster recovery solutions provided the comprehensive overhaul required to improve operational efficiency.

Colt provided an enterprise class cloud service and created an additional colocation environment with full connectivity between Leroy Merlin’s headquarters and the new data centre as well as storage and backup. This fully monitored environment helps ensure uninterrupted service 24/7. Staff can now access all the information they need to serve customers while also having the freedom to focus on core business objectives.

The transition was achieved seamlessly, with no disruption to customers or employees. We now have a flexible solution that can be rapidly scaled according to our changing business requirements.- Sergio Casado Castejón, Technology and Innovation Manager
