Liquid infrastructure: Transformation innovation

HomeInsight HubLiquid infrastructure: Transformation innovation

The flexible network

Enterprise silos are being replaced in favour of a multi and cross functional collaborative working culture, with teams comprised of members in geographically diverse locations producing new products, applications and services.

“IDC says that globally enterprise CEO’s are moving Digital Transformation (DX) to the centre of their strategy in order to achieve growth, and that more than half of IT budgets will be consumed on DX by 2020.”

Just as collaborative culture requires flexibility in the deployment of new tools, as teams grow (and shrink) dynamically, the same is true of networking requirements between sites. Businesses need to be able to flex their bandwidth accordingly and a liquid infrastructure enables this.

From a technology side, Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV), and SIP trunks, combined with a professional services provider can deliver this flexible consumption model.
