When you’re a kid – you think your parents are so technologically inept – we used to make fun of our parents for not knowing anything about TV or VCR. Now I’m older, my kids are starting to look at me in that same way. I have a 16-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son and even my youngest can crack my password, they show me how to do everything on my phone. My kids and my family are everything to me. When I’m away from them I feel like I’m missing something.

When I was growing up, the luxury items were a colour TV, a VCR or a video console. I remember looking on in jealousy at school as my friends got new TVs and we still had an old black-and-white TV. In that time we were so much less tech savvy – I didn’t even have a landline growing up. Quite funny that I work in telecoms now.
