Gartner

Gartner’s latest “Critical Capabilities Report” scored various Colt data services with high scores, in the Ethernet area with the highest possible scores. Colt is one of only two vendors that have been given the highest score for their Ethernet services in the second consecutive year. Rating 5 out of 5 demonstrates Colt’s leading position in Ethernet services, which was already confirmed by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) in late 2013.

More Colt services have improved their Gartner rating as well: Managed MPLS-VPNs and Internet Access services are both rated with 4.5, the backbone services overall improved now scoring with 4.6 out of five.
All these Gartner awarded services have been designed for Wholesale customers and Resellers as well to support their end customers. Whilst this is a well-known fact for Colt’s Ethernet portfolio, IP-Access and MPLS-based VPN services – both with or without managed router available – can be deployed to connect all end customers sites and then easily being complemented with the Reseller’s value add adding service layer on top.

Vertical Systems Group

Vertical Systems Group, who claim to be one of the worldwide leading market research and strategic consulting firm specializing in defensible quantification of the networking industry, have just published their “2013 Global Provider Ethernet LEADERBOARD”.

Within their “Market Player” category Vertical Systems Group list 45 companies that sell retail Ethernet services outside their home countries. Additional seven telcos build the group of “Challengers”.
Colt are in none of these two groups, as we score at rank 4 of the “Global Leaderboard” category, which is built by seven operators that maintain more than 4% of billable retail Ethernet ports outside their home country.
