Meet Praveeda Koorikattil, who has been with us for eleven years and is now a Lead Consultant.
Praveeda believes our inclusive environment is an important factor in helping her thrive. Our mentorship and leadership programmes for women have also given her valuable guidance from mentors in other companies within the industry.
Along with the support of her managers, this has given her the encouragement to expand her skillset and explore other areas of tech. She says that others have been quick to recognise her potential and help shape her career, so she’s been able to rapidly rise in seniority.
Work-life balance is a big priority at Colt, and for Praveeda, this has brought harmony between her personal and professional life. The ability to flexibly work from home means she can be present for her school-age children, which they’ve really appreciated – her daughter once told her she works for a super company!
Friends and family have been surprised by the opportunities Praveeda has had to grow, develop and collaborate at work, along with the focus on wellbeing and the range of benefits and mental health initiatives available. She’s particularly appreciated the trust that has been placed in her skills and leadership, and has loved being able to smash gender stereotypes and show that she has both technical and people management capabilities.
Praveeda has seen major change in our company with many more women in tech and leadership roles in recent years. She believes that we can achieve extraordinary results together if we empower and support each other – and that’s exactly what we’re all about at Colt.
