Propelling US carriers’ expansion into Europe and Asia

HomeBlogsPropelling US carriers’ expansion into Europe and Asia

We are heading off to International Telecoms Week in Chicago to meet existing and prospective customers. Following our acquisition of KVH late last year, we look forward to showcasing our extended capabilities across Europe and Asia to the US carrier community. Having voice, network and data centre expertise in the key business hubs of both of these regions and local account teams in the US puts Colt in a strong position to form new partnerships with US carriers that look to grow their global reach.

Around the world the wholesale community is looking for innovative ways to support their enterprise customers in information-intensive industries, who are under increasing pressure to evolve their technology infrastructures. To enable our carrier customers to address their customers’ growing demands, we are committed to continually strengthening the services we offer.

This includes our award-winning Ethernet services portfolio, such as our Metro Access Services, with dedicated connectivity to key cloud providers in Europe and Asia, and our MPLS network offering. As worldwide IP traffic is set to exceed 1 zettabyte by 2016, and as businesses’ reliance on cloud applications and real-time data continues to grow, we’re going to see increasing demand for secure, scalable data centre environments and high capacity fibre networks from our wholesale customers globally. With more than 560 data centres and 22,000 buildings connected to our network, we are becoming the preferred partner for US carriers looking to grow their enterprise customer base in Europe and Asia.

Our comprehensive Service Provider portfolio enables our customers to upsell voice services to their multinational customers and to expand into Europe and Asia. As the global voice market is moving towards new business models in areas such as unified communications and cloud communications, we’re continually investing in our SIP trunking solutions, to empower our service provider customers to capitalise on the VoIP market. We are also working closely with providers of traditional voice services, whose margins are being squeezed due to regulatory changes. By tapping into our network and automated service provider tools, voice service providers in the US and beyond are able to serve their global customers cost-effectively and move into new markets.

With extended capabilities to serve our customers across three continents, Colt will be at the forefront of feeding the demand for voice, network, cloud and data centre services. Contact us to arrange a meeting at ITW and hear more about how we can help US carriers to drive growth in their business.
