Roxana Dobrota

Meet Roxana Dobrota who joined Colt’s Human Resources team in Romania back in 2015. A supportive hiring manager encouraged her to apply for a more technical job based in Germany in 2017. She recalls hesitating because she did not fulfil all the criteria listed in the person specification, but she decided to take the leap and is glad she did.
With a background in the philology of multiple European languages, and an MBA with a concentration in Industrial Management, Roxana and her team now manage security governance, risk and compliance, building internal and external trust in Colt’s security measures to make a positive business impact.
Roxana loves the support and collaboration of the people at Colt. She reflects on her upbringing in Eastern Europe and remembers yearning to learn more about the rest of the world. She cites her background as influencing her to strive for excellence in both personal and professional pursuits, relishing the opportunity to work with amazing colleagues from different backgrounds.
Her message to Colties is that we should never underestimate our capacity to learn, not to be afraid to try something different, and that anything is possible if we put the effort in.
