Colt help
If you're changing your Control Center password or if you're a system administrator who's creating user profiles for new users, you might have tried a few usernames and/or passwords without success. Follow the guidelines below for selecting usernames and passwords.
With the July 7, 2023 release, you must now use an email address as your Control Center username. If you type an email address and it's already in use, try resetting the password for the username. You may already have access to manage the services you need to manage. If not, work with your Control Center system administrator to get access to the accounts and/or permissions you need.
When you're creating a Control Center password, your password must be at least 12 characters long (up to 128 characters) and meet the following requirements:
password must contain at least three of the following:
at least one uppercase letter
at least one lowercase letter
at least one number
at least one special character (e.g., !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, (, ), {, }, [, etc.)
password cannot contain the words centurylink, control, level3, or colt
password must not be same combination of 4 characters with your username
Note: If your username is not an email address, Control Center appends @control.centurylink.com to your username when it stores your information. For example, if your username is sallyjenkins, Control Center stores your username as [email protected]. You don't need to sign in with the additional information, but it's important to note when you're choosing a password so that you don't duplicate character sequences in the additional information added to your username.
If you forget either your username or password, you can retrieve it.
