Objectway selected Colt as a partner in his renovation process and to ensure a stable international network

Operating in 15 countries across three continents, Objectway supports more than 10 million online users and manages assets worth over a trillion euros.

Their challenge

Objectway’s goal is to enable digital transformation in the financial sector. Since the beginning, the company has been investing in the most innovative digital technologies to keep its edge over the competition. To achieve its aims and support clients in their crucial transitions to digital transformation, the company needed to update its internal telecommunications infrastructure. Objectway selected Colt as a partner in this renovation process and was able to rely on an extremely stable national and international MPLS network, utilising protective circuits with different routings in order to ensure resiliency.

“We identified Colt as the only operator capable of providing entirely redundant solutions, with optimal resilience parameters for our needs in Italy and abroad, that support our international expansion,” said Carlo Balducci, Technical Director of System, Networks, Security, Infrastructure and Facility Management at Objectway. “The data security, the high level of network reliability, and compliance with the agreed SLAs are the reasons that led us to choose Colt as the ideal partner for the technological upgrade of our infrastructure.”

The solution

To adapt the internal network, Colt provided an Ethernet VPN solution, which connects Objectway’s facilities in Italy with those in the United Kingdom and Belgium. It was an extremely flexible solution, tailored to Objectways’s needs. And because Objectway has its own in-house data centre, they needed to manage the line inputs from different areas of the building (Dual Access) to ensure reliability. Colt also provided the backbone (LAN Link) to connect with the Objectway disaster recovery site in southern Italy, expanding the business continuity services.

Objectway also uses the Voice Line (v) phone service, based entirely on a VoIP infrastructure, to allow the customer’s switchboard to convert at any moment from traditional telephony to the SIP protocol, now considered the de facto standard of VoIP telephony.
