Colt’s charity bike ride returns for 2024

The Colt charity bike ride is back! Between 6-9 September, 175 Colties will ride a challenging 450km route from Brussels to Düsseldorf to raise money for incredible causes.

The charitable theme for this year’s bike ride is aligned with our CSR focus and Global Social Impact Strategy on digital inclusion and digital education. We’ll be supporting digital inclusion initiatives for different vulnerable groups by raising funds for 22 wonderful charities across the globe.

Since starting the Colt Bike Ride 12 years ago, we’ve been on eight fundraising excursions, cycled thousands of kilometres and raised an incredible €1.2 million for charity.

Each rider will be raising money for the local charity partner of the region they are from. The charities we are supporting this year include: De Lift Education from Belgium that provides secondary school education for young people with autism spectrum profiles, The Code to Change from the Netherlands that aims to bridge the skills gap in the ICT sector and combat the digital gender divide, Cibervoluntarios from Spain that aids elderly people in learning how to use digital technologies, and Ignite Hubs from the UK that helps disadvantaged children and youth learn about STEM and coding. These are just a sample of the wonderful charities we’re working with. You can  follow the link to our dedicated Colt Bike Ride website to find out who else we’re supporting.

We’ll be joined by a select group of partners and customers who help sponsor the event. We take pride in the strong bonds we share with our talented partners and customers, and inviting them along deepens our relationships and helps them to see first-hand what makes us different.

We cannot wait to see how much money we raise this year and look forward to seeing how our Colties get on as they ride across the cobblestones of Flanders, over the rolling hills of the Ardennes and through the weaving flatlands of the Netherlands.
