Colt secures its highest ever CDP sustainability rating for action against climate change

The CDP awards Colt its ‘A-’ rating in leadership category for sustainability and ‘A’ rating for supplier engagement

Colt Technology Services, the digital infrastructure company, today revealed its A- rating from the CDP, recognising its outstanding environmental performance, alongside a new ‘A’ rating for supplier engagement from the CDP which it has achieved for two consecutive years. The CDP – formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project – is considered the gold standard for corporate environmental reporting, and reserves its highest ratings for organisations which clearly demonstrate strong global leadership in sustainability and supplier engagement. The recognition follows Colt’s Platinum EcoVadis rating for the second consecutive year, announced in October 2023

The CDP is an esteemed international not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping companies disclose their environmental impact associated with climate change. Over 13,000 companies share their environmental data through the CDP. Colt’s rating of A- for sustainability places it within the leadership band. This is higher than the Europe regional average of B, and higher than the Media, Telecommunications and Data Centre Services sector average of B.  Colt’s A rating for its collaboration with suppliers regarding climate change surpasses the Europe regional average of C and exceeds the sector average of B- for Media, Telecommunications & Data Centre Services. With A representing the highest and D the lowest score, Colt’s A rating positions the company within the Leadership category of CDP scoring, showcasing its commitment to implementing top-tier practices regarding supply chain engagement on climate matters.

Caroline Griffin Pain, Chief Legal Officer, Colt Technology Services said, “We’re incredibly proud to have received such high ratings from the CDP: they are fantastic endorsements for the action we’ve taken to drive positive, sustainable change for our employees, customers and partners.  To reach A- for sustainability from a D rating three years ago shows how far we’ve come and how passionate we are about making a real difference, and we’re delighted to achieve another ‘A’ rating for supplier engagement. We’re transparent about our progress, and sharing our performance with the CDP is a great way for us to hold ourselves accountable and benchmark our continuing journey towards sustainability.”
