Colt Technology Services appoints Katsuya Oe, as VP, Sales Asia

Reinforces its commitment to continued growth across Asia

London, UK, 27 June 2022 – Colt Technology Services announced its appointment of Katsuya Oe as its new Vice President of Sales, Asia, in May.

Responsible for leading Colt’s Enterprise Sales in Japan and Strategic Alliance teams in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore, including the continued development of Colt’s go to market and the acceleration of its customer and partner engagement in Asia, Oe will strengthen the company’s regional Leadership Team and report to Andrew Edison, Executive Vice President (EVP) – Sales, Marketing and Customer Relationship Management.

Bringing more than 20 years of sales experience, Oe joins Colt from Veritas Technologies, where he was the Global Vice President and Japan President. Oe was also instrumental in the company becoming the top global data protection software vendor, complete with a 30% market share in Japan. He previously held senior roles at EMC Japan and IBM.  At IBM Japan, for 23 years, he held senior positions in various functions, including business strategy for public and educational institutions, IT infrastructure services, business partnership, business alliances and sales.  Furthermore, he led the cloud strategy for IBM in Japan at the U.S. Head Office to lead the global trend of cloud business.

Based in Colt’s Tokyo office, he will work closely with Colt’s Head of Asia, Representative Director and President of Japan, Masato Hoshino, as well as Ruth Welter, Vice President, Global Strategic Alliances, and Mimmo Zappi, Vice President Sales, Enterprise and Capital Markets, to help develop and drive our global customer relationships.
