Colt hosts Black History Month exhibition this October

Black History Month is a time to spread awareness, while continuing to support our Black community’s histories, traditions, and culture.

This year, Colt Technology Services has teamed up with CasildART Contemporary to host ‘Movements that Matter’ on the ground floor of Colt’s Shoreditch offices between 9-20 October.

The exhibition of the works of Black British artists is an opportunity to learn more about history, culture and identity. Movements that Matter is all about movements related to personal journeys, social activism and physical journeys.

Visitors have the opportunity to explore a range of art forms including paintings, sculptures, mixed media collages and a video installation. A virtual exhibition has also been made available for those based outside of Colt’s London offices and for customers, partners and suppliers who are interested in exploring it.

The event has been curated by Sukai Eccleston, a cultural producer and curator and Founder of CasildART. CasildART is a non-profit social enterprise which works to create opportunities for Black artists who are underrepresented in commercial galleries and museums.

Colt’s YOUnited employee network collaborated with its Diversity Equity & Inclusion team on the exhibition which is designed to engage as many people as possible in the Black History Month conversation.
