Colt maintains a strong second in Vertical Systems Group’s mid-2020 Global Ethernet Leaderboard

HomeBlogsColt maintains a strong second in Vertical Systems Group’s mid-2020 Global Ethernet Leaderboard

Colt continues to occupy its position in Vertical Systems Group’s Global Ethernet Leaderboard, maintaining its lead ahead of CenturyLink, Orange, BT Services, and Verizon. Second only to AT&T, this marks Colt’s fifth consecutive time ranking second in this prestigious leaderboard, holding the position since mid-2018.

These past six months have shown us more than any other in recent memory the importance of connectivity. Colt has been investing in on-demand, SDN-enabled, and high bandwidth networks for years, understanding that there would be a future need for greater agility and flexibility. Whilst we didn’t anticipate that need arriving overnight and under these circumstances, we were able to keep businesses up and running while the whole world changed, dialling up networks dynamically as business needs shifted towards at-home working. We’ve focused our attention on rolling out new product services that would assist our customers, such as VoIP optimisation and support for IPv6 via our SD WAN platform.

It is Colt’s expansive IQ Network that maintains our consistently highly rankings. We now have more than 29,000 buildings and over 900 data centres with direct fibre connections, and in 2020 we continued expanding our network offerings, launching IP Access on Demand in Asia and strengthening the existing Colt IQ Network connections in key metro areas such as Antwerp, The Hague, and Rotterdam. The Colt IQ Network now spans four continents, with Colt-owned infrastructure being present in 32 countries.

As well as maintaining this leaderboard position, this year has also seen Colt appear in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Global Network Services, positioned as a Visionary. Earlier this year Colt also set a new record for its Net Promoter Score (NPS), climbing from 64 to 70 in Europe and from 26 to 35 in Asia- an impressive score for the telco industry. Colt has clearly shown the ability to be resilient in difficult times, and our capability to enable organisations’ digital transformations whilst always working on our vision to be the most customer-oriented business in our industry.

Vertical Systems Group’s leaderboard is the industry benchmark for multinational Ethernet network market presence, and Colt is thrilled to maintain its position. You can find out more about our Ethernet services here.
