Learn what 1000+ professionals told us about AI, inclusion and the future of work
There’s no shortage of data on AI adoption. We’ve seen the forecasts, the hype and the endless use cases. But what’s missing is a deeper understanding of the human impact. How are people across different roles and levels in telecoms really feeling about AI?
Are they excited? Are they prepared? And is everyone being brought along for the ride equally?
To find out what’s really happening behind the headlines, we partnered with Censuswide to survey over 1,000 telco professionals across nine countries. We also conducted in-depth qualitative interviews with four subject matter experts across AI, DEI and gender studies with one critical question in mind:
Can telcos embrace AI without leaving people behind?
The answer is complex but pressing. While many individuals see AI as a force for progress, our research reveals growing concern about its impact on job security, workplace equality and career development, especially for women and underrepresented groups.
“Too often, decisions about AI are being made in rooms where there’s no one thinking about equity.” - Head of Diversity, Access and Participation
What we found is both a warning and a roadmap. Telcos are already adopting AI at scale, but unless inclusion is built into the decision-making process from the start, there’s a risk of deepening the very inequalities we aim to solve.
Key findings include:
0%
believe AI will improve progress on gender targets
0%
are concerned AI could displace all or part of their role
0%
feel confident in their job security
