Building a sustainable future; Colt’s top EcoVadis score

HomeBlogsBuilding a sustainable future; Colt’s top EcoVadis score

At Colt, we care about the impact we have on our communities, our people, our customers and the environments in which we operate.

To underline our commitment to a strong sustainable future for our business, this year sees sustainability becoming an even bigger strategic driver for Colt. As part of this agenda, we subscribe to EcoVadis, a global index that benchmarks our environment, social and governance (ESG) performance against more than 75,000 other organisations across all industries.

Today, I’m excited to share that our most recent industry ranking has placed Colt in the 91st percentile, with a score of 63. This has earned us a Silver medal and a place in the top 10% of telco companies registered for ESG performance.

The EcoVadis scoring considers performance across four themes; environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Policies, actions and, importantly, tangible results in these areas all count towards an organisations’ score.

This score reflects that Colt is a company that not only cares, but one that also demonstrates we’re steadfast in our commitment to doing business ethically and sustainably. Visions and values are important to inspire and guide, but to ensure we’re making a positive impact on our communities, customers and the environment, we must put in place strategies and take actions that get us closer to our sustainability goals. Our latest EcoVadis rating is confirmation that we’re on the right path.

Colt has started its journey to becoming more sustainable and we will keep you updated on our progress during 2021. From greening our vehicles, offsetting travel, moving to zero waste to landfill, using green energy and embracing other ways to reduce our carbon footprint – sustainability is a top priority moving forward. We know that to be truly transformational, to be connected to our planet, we need to embed sustainability into our DNA.
