Last week, Google announced the launch of the Cloud Pathfinder for Google Cloud app that enables enterprises to find the best connectivity route to Google Cloud from any on net building or data centre worldwide.

The Cloud Pathfinder tool is developed and owned by Cloudscene, and from a simple address search, the app allows organisations to instantly find service providers that can connect them to Google Cloud’s nodes across the globe.

Colt strives to make enterprise migrations to the cloud as seamless and straightforward as possible and with the Colt IQ Network comprising of more than 27,500 buildings and 900 data centres on net globally, Colt is ranked the number one service provider in Europe on Cloudscene.

The dense network footprint of the Colt IQ Network coupled with Colt’s Dedicated Cloud Access (DCA) offering and its On Demand proposition, sees businesses receiving a superior public cloud networking experience that can be provisioned in real-time, and that also drives cost efficiencies and increases bandwidth throughput.

Colt’s Global Director for Business Development, Bo Duim said: “Facilitating organisations’ migration and utilisation of the cloud has been a significant priority for Colt over the past few years. However, we know that the cloud networking environment can be complex, so by partnering with the likes of Google and Cloudscene it makes it simpler for enterprises to see who is best placed to assist them on their digital transformation journey.”

Cloudscene’s CEO, Belle Lajoie added: “Cloud Pathfinder for Google Cloud enables Google’s customers to get connected, faster. In doing so, we’re supporting enterprises around the world on their cloud adoption journey.”

“Leading network operators, like Colt, have made it possible for customers to gain access to connectivity information through Cloud Pathfinder. On net data information from the industry is what makes the app so valuable to the enterprise customer and is helping Cloudscene shape the future of digital procurement for cloud and connectivity services.”

Cloudscene’s independent market intelligence platform is the source of the single largest and most accurate database of data centres, service providers, network fabrics and cloud on-ramps. Integrated with the Cloud Pathfinder app, Cloudscene is helping to remove the barriers of cloud adoption for enterprises and revolutionise the way businesses buy cloud and connectivity services.
