The new Colt

Over the past months Colt have conducted a strategic review of our performance by lines of business and resulting from that we have implemented the first milestone of our reorganisation per 1st May 2014 moving into four lines of business: Network Services, IT Services, Data Centre Services and Voice Services.

These four new “Lines of Business” will facilitate the prioritisation of investments and opportunities that are of the greatest strategic and commercial value to grow the business and support our customers. Existing shared service organisations like in Barcelona and India will keep on supporting the go-to-market organisations “Colt Enterprise Services” (CES) and “Colt Communication Services” (CCS) and the Lines of Business units.

The Network Services unit facilitate Colt’s competitive advantage gained from our seamless next generation pan-European network. Executive Vice President is Francois Eloy, former EVP of the CCS business unit.

Colt Communication Services” (CCS) is the business unit of our indirect channels serving – amongst others – the Resellers and Operator customers. Falk Weinreich, former Vice President Sales, was promoted as CCS’ new Executive Vice President.

The Voice Services unit address Corporate and Reseller Voice markets with growing VoIP and IN solutions. The Carrier Voice business will transform and focus on increasing their margins with as smaller number of customers in an overall declining market. Executive Vice President of the Line of Business Voice Services is Richard Oosterom.

The Data Centre Services unit will focus the Western Europe wholesale and retail colocation market. They are going to expand their capabilities and capacities into selected cities both inside and outside the current footprint satisfying the demand for corporate outsourcing of IT and growth in cloud services. Their Executive Vice President is Detlef Spang.

If you have questions regarding this reorganisation in detail or regarding other units that built Colt unique expertise in combining network, voice, data centre and IT services, please do not hesitate to get in contact with the Channel Marketing team.
