Colt appoints Vice President of Network Engineering
Colt reinforces leadership in Network with new VP appointment to focus on Colt IQ Network investment

London, 30 August 2017 – Colt Technology Services today announces an expanded leadership team for the Network organisation. Randolph Nicklas joins Colt as VP Network Engineering, reporting directly to Chief Technology Officer Rajiv Datta, Nicklas will be responsible for driving technology innovation across the next-generation Colt IQ Network as part of Colt’s €500m, three-year investment plan.

Nicklas will take on the strategy and architecture planning, solution design and implementation, and asset management across all of Colt’s network platforms, including optical, packet and voice services.

Nicklas joins Colt with twenty-five years’ experience as an engineer and executive with industry leaders including Cisco, MCI, XO Communications and Windstream Communications amongst others. During his tenure in the telecom industry Nicklas has helped develop and implement technologies such as packet switching and optical transport. He holds degrees in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
