Colt breaks down international borders for Pan-European business communications

HomeNewsColt breaks down international borders for Pan-European business communications

Colt, a leading provider of business communications and managed services, has announced that it will offer large European businesses a single flat rate for international Ethernet services.

With cross-border communication the mainstay of daily business for many large enterprises, Colt’s new flat rate Ethernet pricing enables users to pay for the amount of bandwidth provided and not for geographic reach.

The introduction of a reduced single flat rate across 13 European countries for Ethernet services means that customers can now benefit from a uniform, reliable service with a straightforward price structure, giving a reduction of up to 50% on some tariffs.

Detlef Spang, Managing Director, Major Enterprise Division, said: “Inter-country communications and transactions are crucial to the success of any large business, whether it is a bank, media company or legal firm. At Colt we are working to simplify pricing structures to ensure that it is as easy as possible to set-up international communications services. As a result, organisations can more easily take full advantage of the benefits offered by Ethernet technology and increase productivity and efficiency.”

Last year’s introduction of Colt’s Next Generation Long Distance Network (NG – LDN) and its Multiservice Platform (MSP) was the most recent investment in the company’s Ethernet solutions portfolio. Colt is developing long term projects aimed at introducing new value added Ethernet features, the extension of its services to Eastern Europe and a reduction in connection times for its Ethernet services.

This latest development forms part of Colt’s overall strategy to deliver value-added business services and reinforces the business communications provider’s leadership in Ethernet provision. Having been awarded the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Service Provider of the Year award for five consecutive years, Colt continues to retain its top position in the Ethernet market.
