Colt shortlisted at Global Carrier Awards and Leading Lights 2021

Awards season is in full swing for the telecommunications industry and I’m pleased to say that Colt has been shortlisted for five awards at the Global Carrier Awards at Capacity Europe 2021.

Over the past turbulent year our employees at Colt have been working hard, changing the way we do things and continuing to innovate in the telecommunications space. Here’s a snippet of the awards we’ve been shortlisted for and what we’ve been doing in these areas:

Best global Wholesale carrier – DATA
In the past year, we’ve demonstrated our commitment to going above and beyond for our customers and employees. We’ve continued to demonstrate leadership within the SDN/NFV space, further enhanced our cloud access and ultra-high bandwidth offerings, and expanded our services globally. We’ve also spent time developing and maximising the value of our partnerships.

Best marketing campaign
The global pandemic has changed the way we work. With a dramatic increase in video and collaboration tools, hybrid working has put pressure on the enterprise network. Our Hybrid Workforce campaign helped customers understand these challenges and how best to overcome them. We built a bandwidth calculator to provide personalised insights to each customer so that they could truly understand the impact on their network and what was necessary to ensure success in the new working world.

Best network technology innovation
Customer experience is a key pillar of our strategy. Customers can easily access our APIs removing the need for additional tools. This aims to reduce the time it takes for our customers to provision their services, such as point-to-point connectivity, cloud connectivity, voice services and business-grade internet access.

Best inclusion and diversity initiative
Inclusion and diversity (I&D) is a priority, and our aim is also to build an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and have a fair chance to develop and progress. Colt leads the way with its I&D strategy and policies; ranked 44th in the recent Financial Times Diversity Leaders list.

Best post Covid-19 business transformation
Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve transformed and improved through our innovative product road map. We’ve continually transformed our services, giving customers solutions they need to accelerate their digital transformations. We’ve also placed our employees at the centre of what we do, introducing new initiatives and programmes to help our people to thrive.

We’ve also been shortlisted for the following awards at Light Reading’s Leading Lights 2021 awards:

  • Company of the year (private)
  • Most Innovative SD-WAN Product/Service Evolution
  • Most Innovative Service Provider Cloud Strategy

The winners of the Carrier Awards will be announced on 20 October and the winners of Leading Lights will be announced on 1 October.

I’m excited to see the results and I know as a company we will continue to find better ways to do things, stay one step ahead and make the world a better place.
