Colt is proud to be a sponsor of the Octo Connected Forum 2021. The event will bring together industry leaders, experts, and executives to present the final report of the Connected Mobility project, learn more about how the mobility sector is evolving thanks to the use of connected vehicles and what new business models are emerging.

More than 1,000 guests will access over five hours of live streaming, consisting of four sessions and over 15 international speakers.

Our Emerging Technology Director, Francesca Serravalle, will discuss how Colt distributed edge and AI/SDN enabled network will support the connected mobility vision.

 

Why Colt? The network of the future

Every new vehicle will be connected, generating high-volume data that needs to be transferred to and from the cloud. The biggest challenge will be efficiently processing and delivering this data, while maintaining speed, security and reliability. This is where edge computing has a pivotal role to play.

Edge computing has to be underpinned by an agile network that can support high capacity and extreme low latency, with the ability to scale bandwidth up and down into these new edge locations. At Colt, we’ve already been building the network of tomorrow – delivering high bandwidth, low latency and On Demand connectivity into enterprise locations and data centres that are key to enabling this rapidly growing trend.
